A bit unusual this one, I got a quick drive in the new diesel Auris from Toyota. There’ll be a full video when I get my hands on the car.
I like the way this guy talks about car
Loved the “..looks are a little bit on the oddball side..” made me laugh :)
Wish there was a diesel hybrid
I’m glad you like it, I bought one just for this reason
Nope but close, I’ll have to have a longer drive in both to find out more.
Are you reviewing the Mazda 6 any day soon greetz.
Its very like an Alfa
The interior material is much improved on anything that’s gone before but
the styling is odd.
Does it not have stop/start? Sounded like the engine kept idling at the
it is uglier as all the japanese cars lately, interior in Honda and Toyota
re cheaply made, plastic can not be cheaper.Only Lexus is top of the
line, besides that japanese cars are not in my Gps
when will you be doing a full review
This is a mighty fine idea, I will be making phone calls! Cheers dude
If it cumes to reliability the golf can’t beat this car.
Also 2.0lt 😉
No sponsor, just another camera that I had to buy myself…being
independent is an expensive business. Maybe I should go like the rest of
them and let the car companies advertise!
BTW… how was the suspension? Was it soft or firm? Because soft suspension
is the only “part” of the current Corolla I prefer to Golf… 🙂
mmmm wonder how many times its going to be recalled Seriously, like the
front end styling. A change from the usual plain Jane styling. review
should be interesting
Hi, great review as always, very nice looking car( i have the yaris at the
moment, the new auris could be the next step up for me), do you mind me
asking what model the gro pro camera is, thanks a lot 🙂
dude..is this a review of auris or a review of yourself; havent seen the
car at all
the old diesels could do that(,I think you put to many 0:),look at old vw
tdi for example or old mercs diesels. That wont happen any more ,cos of all
electronic gadgets,turbos,flywheels,dpf(emission CO2,performance),,btw
toyota buys diesel engines from bmw nowdays. My only car that start falling
apart was mazda 6 (rust everywhere)
The title is confusing, only did I know that it was the Diesel when you
said it was the LUNA version. Anyway, holy cow! Green reg?!
Props for the reply. Pretty good for one shot with no editing! It would
still pay to check what you’re driving though ; )
On the opposite here, i don’t like the GoPro for car reviews, it distorts
the shapes and angles. I liked the GoPro view only on the windscreen, but i
suggest not to use it for other views around the car.
Very nice image from the gopro besides the fisheye look. The sound came
through nicely too.
Thanks dude, might be the right step to make. I’ll tell you more when I
drive it in January. It’s a GoPro Hero 2 motor sport version, they are
going down in price because there’s a 3 out.
I’m not too keen on the fisheye look either but I’ll get used to it.
There’s some things I can do in editing that will change it to broadcast
quality. BTW the sound is nothing to do with the gopro, there’s a zoom h2
:40 Why couldn’t Toyota manage to fit in a rear fog light & keep 2 reverse
lights? They got plenty of space in the red section of the assembly on the
hatch to do so.
Hybrid but a manual? Interesting.
I do hope you’re talking about the looks and not the feeling!
I was told what the car is, I was literally there for 10 minutes, possibly
it was the 1.4d that I had on test. Sorry if I got it wrong, it’s all done
in one take.
The diesel is not a hybrid!!
Really like your reviews. I just ordered the hybrid version. Would be
really nice to get your opinions on this. Have you tested it yet? Maybe a
review is coming soon?
you know japanese people, they are odd.look at the video games they
Hay, Toyota recalls are Hugh as they put a lot of the same parts in every
car they make. You are correct, my xtrail had 4 recalls, landrover had one.
My Fiat bravo, don’t laugh, has had none. My comment was suppose to be
amusing, and a comment on the risks toyota run with thier global parts bin
risks. So don’t take it too hard
Pretty nice review but… shouldn’t you change the video title? (hybrid?)
The diesel is not a hybrid, it says that in the text at the beginning.
I love your reviews, but I don’t like this car… 🙂 The front end looks
like melted and there is just to many random/strange shapes in the
interior. I also prefer old-fashioned foamed surfaces rather than “plastic
aluminium” because it looks chap and not as solid and elegant as for
example in the Golf or C4…
the looks, like a 147
Is it really a 2.0 diesel – not a 1.4? As far as I know the new Auris is
available (in Europe) with; 1.33 petrol 1.6 petrol 1.4 turbo diesel 1.8
petrol Hybrid I don’t mean to be a hater but did you open the bonnet or
look at the press release? Journalism requires at least some research…
Yea, confused the hell out of me too. I didn’t get at the rest of the
versions I just had no time today. The green reg is dealer spec, it’s trade
plates but stuck on the car instead of the window.
Taxes are just as low for the petrol but there is about 10c in the
difference at the pumps
I’m not a fan of tuning, but this really need one around the back!!!
Yes, it took a bit of working out but I’m getting there. I’m not sure I
like the bendy image it gives and it’s a bit fiddly but it’s a new angle on
things. Cheers for watching
Better than a golf?
It seemed to be firm but not hard. Overall very comfy. Hard to tell without
the full test of the car but I thought the ride was good
they all do recalls from time to time that doeshnt mean anything!in my
country we have toyota taxis doing 3 and 4000000km with the same engine!i
am not taiking about toyota only i ne never seen a european car being as
reliable as a honda or a mitsubishi!these cars are made to last 30years and
longer and on the opposite side you see europeean cars starting to fall
apart after 5 years!i had a lot of cars i know what i am taiking about
