dave dunn says:

Hyundais gotten way to cocky and overpriced! Ive known from experience that

This video is useless for anyone who isn’t a mile above sea level.

Clay says:

So that’s 7 seconds to get to 60 which is a full second behind the
competition not that it matters.

n777ua says:

Heard one of their marketing flacks say they benchmarked the [last gen
06-14 PQ46] Passat when designing this generation. Nice job for Hyundai,
but nobody in their right minds thinks this is up to the standards set by

VW is onto the next chapter, while Hyundai is still writing the tail end of
the last one

MrKeyboardCommando says:

Where’s the 30-70mph test, that’s the acceleration that’s important on the
road ? People don’t use these cars on race tracks, but neither do they use
them on drag strips. It’s midrange acceleration that’s important.

Nathani Dheemantn says:

You kept it on Eco mode that mode is slower

Srdjan Smudja says:

The front design reminds me of Volvo S60 and V60.

MT tested the 2.0T at sea level and got 8 seconds flat to get to 60. They
also tested the 1.6T Eco with 67HP less and it did 60mph in 7.8 seconds.

RAJohnson713 says:

Why do you have a Mustang Eco boost taking off in the intro? It sounds like
a hair dryer

Yippie says:

Even slower than a VW CC that is rated at much less horsepower and torque.

VTEC kick in says:

I think this is a really good looking car….. Way better than the last

TopGear-Love.GT7 says:

Hyundai Korean… development aid by other country. no way

kevin G says:

Currently owning the 13′ Sonata 2.0t and after a tune (305hp) and better
brakes this thing can hold its own.

Dongi says:

They reduced the power/ torque to get better drivability? i.e., peak torque
earlier in rev range, peak power also earlier? Makes it more efficient
indirectly, and also better feel.

Deion B says:

Roman i think you meant to say Hyundai when you were opening the hood
because you said Kia. lol.

Saadat Islam says:

'Well Kia, err Hyundai… All Koreans are the same.'

scorpionbeware says:

I have never seen a skoda review on TFL. Is Skoda Superb or Octavia offered
in North America??

huntawpn says:

It’s sad that the new turbo ties my old 2013 sonata SE 2.4L direct
injection. Sometimes newer isn’t better.

Mark Carruthers says:

Possible heat soak from just a couple runs?

Mario DSD says:

Bruno Goncalves says:

can they stop naming cars “sport” if they arent even fast…

sic22l says:

@Vlad Saghin Testing this car on the track would be dangerous, brakes
started to fade after they’ve been used 3 times!

TheAndrey says:

turbos are getting hotter with every run so you loose power

Desu Gun says:

Sonata is still freakin’ sexy and comfortable.

The car is getting tired as you keep sprinting it … make sense :-)

So you took the XC60 and the Jetta on the track but not this one?

AntsAfan301 says:

I wanted to see it around the track just for a “what if” scenario

aron john says:

Blake Will says:

The Kia doesn’t look as nice

Darryl small says:

Cool. I like it

Carlos Hidalgo says:

How is it in the snow?

Evander Smart says:

What I really want in a redesign is slower, less powerful, and uglier, with
a cheaper interior. That’s when you know it’s the one. Definitely look at
it’s stronger, better-looking cousin, the Optima

bwilliamstown says:

I find it funny that the new F-150 with the 2.7 has a better 0-60 time than
a “sport” sedan

TheSuperMotoHooligan says:

we should super glue Roman’s hands together. That would be funny…

Lbolting005 says:
