2013 Toyota Corolla S

2013 Toyota Corolla S

We’d say the ever-popular Toyota Corolla is a leader in quality, comfort, style and driving — if this were 2003. But it’s 2013, and Cars.com reviewer Joe Wiesenfelder says the past decade…

Daniel Allen says:

I have a 2013 corolla s and the only complaint i have is the lack of power.
I had a 03 altima with a 2.4 four banger that would smoke the shit out of
the corolla. If you get in a bind on the road and need to get out the way
in a hurry the corolla wont do it.

Jorge Sanchez says:

All other brands may have some extra bells and whitsles. But no other
brands can compare to the quality and longebity of toyota. Not to mention
resale value.

radioactivemovies says:

my S is a 2013 and is alot nicer on then inside than that you bought a very
toned down one and my S is the same price normaly and didnt pay any extra
for the nicer things

icantw8 says:

It’s only “best-selling” because Toyota likes to dump their whole lineup to
Hertz rent a car. If you look at the actual number of Corollas sold to
retail customers, that number will be similar to its competitors.

Shirley Johnson says:

I bought it for reliability. My husband was a mechanic and could keep a
cheap piece of junk Chevy, Ford and whatever running. He always said
Toyota’s were the best. Now he is gone so I bought my first and probably
last new car, Toyota Corolla. I need reliability not high tech stuff to go
out on me. By the way, I only paid $18,600 for it.

samanthat brooke says:

american card have bad engin it will break down after u finish down payment

ik chau says:

i fuck with corollas heavy, fuck all you

Louis .Win says:

23k for that piece of crap? 4k more i get civic Si

wipandco says:

What about the price as compared to the others in its class? Is it also
below average?

Zoe Thompson says:

One of the most boring cars ever made in the history of man

blaknoizee says:

Beating the Corolla up haha. The reason I’d ever purchase one is due to the
fact its bulletproof. 4 gears, low power, mechanical features have tended
to last forever. As we all see from the millions of 1989 Corolla’s still
running as if they were brand new.

James Davies says:

So this is the one people buy by mistake?

crackaddict444 says:

So do the Cruze, Focus, and Civic.

Canal Salsero says:

Toyota doesn’t give a shit about their Corolla customers because they know
those morons will buy any crap with name Corolla.

AntsAfan301 says:

your the idiot stanning for a “sub mediocre” car even according to this
video review. You look foolish..I’ve drove / been in one so I know it sucks.

PWRSTR0KER2008 says:

Still has drum brakes in the back!

tachikoma747 says:

I’m currently renting one of these from Enterprise and I can say that, like
most of the current Toyota lineup, it’s an extremely boring car.

LaoK8710 says:

Cars.com! why wasting your time to review it? U guys have many topic and
cars to do, why? why wasting your money and time to review this “thing that
runs and break”?

lowincash says:

My bad, the Kia forte has 6sp auto, 148hp/131tq or optional 173hp/154tq
engine (from kia site). There, happy now? That just put the corolla back to
the bottom. And yes, I said they have a bit more soft touch materials such
as the dashboard like in the mazda3. Either way, for the price, mazda kia
and hyundai (just to name a few) gives you more bang for the buck than the
corolla. If you own a corolla, good for you, enjoy it and stop being so
butt hurt about other people’s opinions on the car lol

Jferrari427 says:

I just had this as my rental car. Have to agree, this car doesn’t feel
modern.

Dave Ruch says:

EPA rating doesn’t mean squat. I just drove a 2012 Corolla from Minnesota
to southern Florida and back. Average MPG for the trip was 38.8. In
addition, the ride was far more comfortable than expected. I’ll take this
over pretty gauges and faux materials any day.

Omaha419 says:

I tell people all the time: DON’T BUY THIS CAR! Doesn’t compare to the
others.

AntsAfan301 says:

um i drove that 4 speed automatic and i dont care to drive the manual. You
must think the camry v6 is a sports car engine then…that little engine
gave me no kind of thoughts of being peppy. The hyundai accent 2010 felt
more peppythan that corolla. What are you used to driving? a 93 corolla?
Idk if it has a body kit and the trd package. The exterior and interior are
so bad and cheap looking I would never consider it even if it had a real
engine and a manual. you are dumb and missing the point

jessica fehlberg says:

I would have bought the honda but I don’t like the looks. As far as
reliability they are about the same. I’ve done my research

zygotegirl says:

PEOPLE BUY THE COROLLA FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRANSPORTATION. OTHER CARS MAY
HAVE ALL KINDS OF HIGH TECH GADGET AND FANCY DESIGN, BUT THE COROLLA STILL
RULE THE COMPACT CLASS. PEOPLE BUY COROLLA FOR ITS RELIABILITY, LONG-LAST,
AND MECHANICAL AND SOFTWARE FREE PROBLEMS. KIA, HYUNDAI, FORD, CHEVY AND
ETC MAY COME UP WITH FANCY DESIGNS BUT THEY CARS ARE CRAPPY AND TERRIBLE
WITH HORRIBLE RELIABILITY RECORD. TOYOTA COROLLA IS A NO BRAINER FOR THOSE
WHO JUST WANT A BASIC CAR THAT IS TROUBLE-FREE.

LaoK8710 says:

even more funny and how people so dumb, when I mentioned the same thing at
other video, some “corolla” or “Toyota” lovers start to shit on me. I did
not say Toyota or Corolla is a bad car at all, it has its reason to be the
best selling car, because of the name. But, really, much much much more
better options than the outgoing Corolla! and most of the people just
scared to get other better options ! and yes, the newer model still can not
get on the stage compares with others!

OneNotNumb says:

People buy it for reliability not tech crap.

strikerm70 says:

They sell because they are extremely reliable, like hondas.

David Halifax says:

The Corolla isn’t really ‘below’ average back in 2009, it’s just the
competition has gone larger in size with their redesigns.

M67v says:

I do look at the other cars. I like the Corolla for what it is, Classic
Toyota.

Windgrace says:

I owned a 2010 Corolla. Ride was comfortable (read: crazy body roll) and
quiet on the highway and I got a consistent 30-32 mpg average. The car was
a RATTLEBOX. Rattles everywhere. We’ve had much better luck with the 06
Civic in our family that averages 34 and with 120k on it has no rattles and
handles much better.

Teddy Brown says:

I like that this was uploaded the week after Toyota announced the 11th
generation Corolla which probably addresses many of the issues.

crackaddict444 says:

Not to mention a 7-speed CVT, which is supposed to address many of the
complaints about the droning, rubber band effect from CVTs.

Ricardo Hernandez says:

I bought my car today and its ok
